PRAYERS for 2026 FELLOWSHIP DAY
He Will Not Let Your Foot Slip
Prepared by Members of the ACW National Committee

Psalm 121
(NIV)
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

PRAYER
Faithful and watchful God,
we thank You that You keep us safe.
When our steps feel uncertain and the path is unclear,
remind us that You will not let our foot slip,
but hold us steady in Your loving care.
Strengthen us, O Lord, to walk together in faith,
young and old, united in Your purpose.
Guide our steps in compassion, courage, and hope,
that we may be a light in our communities
and a witness to Your steadfast love.
Watch over all women throughout the world,
especially those who face hardship, fear, or loneliness.
Grant them courage for each new day
and the assurance that You always walk beside them.
Keep us faithful in service, joyful in fellowship,
and confident in Your promises;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
AMEN

1 Kings 17:12–14
(NIV)
“As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”
Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the land.’”

PRAYER
Dear Lord
When I am called to give, I pray for the trust to give generously, as did the widow at Zarephath. Beyond the jar and the jug, it is your unfailing providence that keeps me from stumbling in my weakness.
AMEN
