He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for these words, written so long ago, that bring us comfort and grow our faith in you. Thank you for those who have nurtured our faith and taught your word, so that we too can pass this on to those we meet each day. Help us in quiet confidence to know you are God. AMEN
