Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

 

Dear Lord and God, help us to remember that you are a God of compassion and faithfulness. Through this time of uncertainty, hardship and trials may we trust in your great faithfulness, which is new every morning to give us hope and a way forward. Thank you that we are not consumed by the present events when our faith is in you. Hear our prayer our Heavenly Father as we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour.
