Acts 20:22–24
PRAYER
And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me, except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
Loving Heavenly Father, our walk with You, our journey of faith, began when we responded to Your invitation to ‘follow You’. It’s a journey that involves change and requires a deep commitment. We are enriched by those You bring into our path to journey with us and we are blessed and enabled by Your provision along the way. Forgive us Lord when we waver in our trust because the way seems hard, the future unknown, and our inability to believe holds us back from moving forward with You in faith. We seek Your grace and strength and the empowering of Your Holy Spirit to trust You to lead us where we need to go even when we do not know what lies ahead. Keep us looking to You, the author and finisher of our faith. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN
