Western Australia

About Us

  • We are a small but very active group of Christian women currently drawn from the Anglican, Catholic, Lutheran, Uniting Church and The Salvation Army

  • We welcome Christian women from all denominations as Associate members.

  • Monthly meetings are held at the Wesley Guild Room, Basement Wesley Church, William Street, Perth on every second Friday of the month, February to November at 10.30 a.m. We welcome all visitors.

  • Our Unit was founded in 1966 and since then WA has been privileged to provide the National Executive and to organise the National Conference on four occasions, most recently during the 2011 to 2013 term of office.

  • We are enthusiastic supporters of both Fellowship Day and World Community Day, and in addition to holding services in Perth suburbs we also send material to various country centres.

  • We also take very seriously our responsibility to send delegates to other organisations so that the voice of Christian women may be heard as widely as possible as we seek to bring to our world Christ's message of goodness, peace, justice and love.

WA Events

Our 2018 Fellowship Day Service will be held on Thursday 26 July at the Anglican Church, 2 Rowlands Street, Maylands, commencing at 10.30am followed by a light lunch. The theme is "Women of Encouragement". The speaker is Mr Rick Pekan, Church and Community Relations Officer WA for the Bible Society. Offerings go to support Winifred Kiek Scholars.

We are also looking forward to promoting, once again, Australian Church Women Inc.’s National Essay Competition for Year 9 students. This was first trialed at Aranmore Catholic College in Leederville in 2014, and we are very grateful for the College’s ongoing participation.

We would really love to see more West Australian schools participating this year. Whether you are a student, a teacher or perhaps a family member or friend, please contact our WA Unit Secretary for current information— Major Laurel Pearce laurit@iprimus.com.au

Essays, on the theme A Christian Woman Who Has Inspired Me, are to be completed and received by Australian Church Women Inc. by 3 August 2018. The essay should be 600-800 words in length.
